Best Recipes from the Weekly ("Australian Women's Weekly" Home Library)

Customer Review

The Australian Women's Weekly has produced an excellent series of recipe books and this one contains the best recipes from all of them. This has to be the bargain cookbook of the year.

It has over three hundred and sixty recipes, offering the best in main meals, snacks and sundries which range from pastas and pizzas to savouries and soufflés, crepes and confectionery to quiches and liqueurs.

Recipes come from all over the world. There are favourites old and new, simple and homely or simple and sumptuous. There is plenty to appeal to the vegetarian and the carnivore, the savoury lover and the sweet-toothed, the slimming and the less slimming - the cakes and desserts are mouth-watering. But why single them out? All these recipes have already, quite rightly, been singled out and are delicious. The various ingredients splattered across its pages are testimony that it is the most indispensable book on my kitchen shelves.

However, what I like most about it is the brevity and hence simplicity of the recipes. Any fool is almost guaranteed success.
